The gallery will host an opening reception on Saturday, October 15 from 5:30 - 7:30pm of artworks by award-winning architect Leo Marmol and Q&A and remarks by former Palm Springs Art Museum Executive Director Dr. Steve Nash.
As Managing Partner of Marmol Radziner since the firm was founded in 1989, Marmol oversees and supports the overall process of every project from inception to completion. Marmol lectures widely on the topics of architecture and historic restoration and he serves on the Boards of Trustees of the Palm Springs Art Museum and the UCLA Lab School.
In conjunction with paintings presented in the group exhibition at Melissa Morgan Fine Art, Marmol, will deliver a lecture at the Palm Springs Art Museum at 10am on Saturday, October 15, 2022 exploring the relationship between our abstract perception of color in art and architecture and our experience of being in the natural landscape. The lecture and exhibition will include artworks from Marmol’s latest body of work, inspired by the ever-shifting color, texture, and pattern of the desert.
Both events are sponsored in part by Modernism Week.
